Growing 9′ tall, Colocasia gigantea ‘Thailand Giant’ features massive, upward facing leaves that give gardens a bold, tropical look. Primarily grown for its foliage, Thailand Giant can be grown as a tall screen or corner planting. It can also be grown in a patio container. Elephant ears grow best when planted in partially shaded moist areas. Because they are tender plants sensitive to the cold, they should be lifted in the fall in zones 3-8, and stored in a cool, dry, frost-free location. Deer tend to avoid.
